RAINDROP THERAPY

Raindrop Therapy is a sequence of anointing with oils and laying on of hands that brings structural and electrical alignment to the body in a relaxing and invigorating manner through the power of essential oils. There are many versions of raindrop therapy, but the same oils are usually always applied, though not always in the same sequence. Most of the raindrop oils are high in phenolic content to ward off potentially damaging viruses and bacteria while cleansing cellular receptor sites to enhance inter and intra-cellular communication and improve overall bodily function. Some raindrop oils contain a variety of monoterpenes and sesquiterpenes to assist in deleting misinformation in the DNA and in reprogramming correct information in cellular memory to restore and maintain physical and emotional wellness.

ORIENTAL BODYWORK SHIATSU

Oriental Bodywork Shiatsu is a full body massage based upon principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The routine includes stretching, breathing techniques and various methods of compression designed to liberate and restore the flow of qi (energy) in the body. Performed on the massage table, the therapist uses moderate to intense penetrating pressure on meridian pathways and specific points on the body in a rhythmic fashion which liberates blockages, tension and pain - making it possible for one to effortlessly experience deep relaxation. In this treatment the client is fully clothed. Please be sure to wear comfortable loose fitting attire.

 WHAT TO EXPECT

Massage therapy works to improve the circulation of blood through the body and to speed the removal of metabolic waste products from muscles, ligaments, and other soft tissues. So relax and enjoy  the expertise of massage therapy! Usually massage therapists begin with a calming massage. After the client fills out a brief medical history and intake form, the massage therapist will leave the room allowing the client to undress and lie down on a massage table in between sheets in comfortable attire. For best results the client should wear minimum amount of clothes. (You may keep your underwear on if this is more comfortable for you.) The therapist is trained in proper draping skills to prevent any improper exposure for your security. The therapist will stand beside the table using various relaxing massage strokes on the client's muscles, varying the pressure as they work. If they feel tension and knots beneath the skin, they will spend more time those areas.
As the massage therapy progresses, the massage therapist may change techniques to address any noticeable problems. A therapist might try rhythmic drumming strokes, apply light or heavy pressure, or hold a part of a muscle until it relaxes. Additionally, an expert in massage therapy must have knowledge of human anatomy to locate the sources of their clients' discomfort. Muscles are interrelated. Pain in one part of the body can be caused by problems in other parts of the body. During your massage the massage therapist manually moves metabolic waste products from muscles for your body to properly dispose of them. After your massage it is very important to drink at least two to three 8 ounce glasses of water. This allows your body to flush its system of the toxins that were moved for disposal. In general, it is suggested to drink half of your body's weight in ounces of water each day to aid in the maintenance of your body's health.
